Daily Motivation, Fitness, Nutrition and Mobility August 21
It's easy enough to show up to a class and be around people. But are you maximizing the team work and energy that could be shared among the group to push everyone as hard as they can go? Coming together is a start. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. The more efficient you can be (the better you work together) the more you can accomplish. Today's workouts exemplify this - you can't do it alone.
Fitness Challenge: Lunge walk in the overhead position, sharing a weight with a partner for 20 reps per leg.
Nutrition Challenge: It's worth repeating - make sure you have a good amount of protein to start each meal. It will save your muscle when you are cutting weight and help you feel fuller, so you don't overeat. Depending on your activity level you can take anywhere form .5 - 2 grams of protein per pound of body weight daily. Don't take it all at once though, it needs to be broken up in different meals.
Mobility movement: Do 20 pull-overs on a bench using weight to increase oxygen capacity and stretch your intercostals.
