Daily Motivation, Fitness, Nutrition and Mobility August 22
I don't know what shoes you decided to wear today, but we definitely jumped in some monstrous puddles. We didn't even require water bottles as the heavy downpour forced us to drink through the Run Smart drills. Great job to everyone who came out. A storm always looks worse through a window. Don't be afraid to get out there and get wet and dirty. You can take a shower and you can wash your clothes. There's no reason to hold back.
Fitness Challenge: Complete 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off running drills for 10 minutes (5 rounds). With the 30 seconds on, focus on how you strike the ground, pump your arms and kick up. If you've done our Run Smart training, you know what I'm referring to.
Nutrition Challenge: Anything you bring into your home, you'll probably eat. Don't try to test willpower, take the thought right out of your environment. If you have kids or other people in your home who aren't on board with your plan, set aside certain foods in a cupboard or drawer that you don't go into.
Mobility movement: Grab a broom handle and do 10 shoulder distractions to open up your shoulders.
