Remembrance Day Fundraiser for Wounded Warriors
Do you love to exercise? Do you love giving back to the community? We have an opportunity for you to do both.
Every year Soldiers of Fitness has put together a month of training based on a Canadian battle. This year we'll do the same and we're stepping up our game. On Sunday November 11th we are going to run Drop-in boot camps (30-minute circuit with a warm-up, strength movements, and high intensity drills), from 7am until 10:30am, with a break for the ceremony which we’ll be broadcasting in our gym, then 12pm until 4:30pm (finishing at 5pm).
During all those hours, all money raised will go to the Wounded Warriors Canada. If you haven’t heard about the wounded warriors, they are an organization that helps Canadian soldiers impacted from active duty. The impact could be physical – limbs lost – or psychological – post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Read more about the Wounded Warriors at https://woundedwarriors.ca/
Wounded Warriors Canada is a national mental health charity whose mission is to honour and support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families. We provide a wide range of programs and services for individual members and families affected by Operational Stress Injuries. As a privately funded charity, our organization is made possible thanks to the care, compassion and generosity of Canadians and Canadian businesses from coast-to-coast-to-coast.
Get a great workout and give back to the community and the men and women that have suffered for us so we can live in abundance. And make no mistake, we all live very comfortable lives. We don’t suffer the way families do in other countries; We aren’t afraid to run through a field and step on a landmine; We aren’t stressed out because there’s no food to feed our families and they’ve been starving for days.
On November 11th, come to a 30-minute drop-in class with Soldiers of Fitness at 1000 Brookfield road east – room 20, and for $15 per person for the class, you will make a difference in the life of a soldier.
We will have a circuit programmed for kids under 16 to go through so you can bring the whole family together.
If you are a soldier serving in the Canadian Forces reading this, thank you for your service. You can come in with your family and train for free all day.
