MEC 30k trail race was wicked fun. Finished the 31.7kms way beyond my expectations! 32nd overall.
Strength & Mobility classes have played an undeniable part in making me a stronger runner this year. I got plenty of stares as i went through our warm ups of arm circles, goal posts, and lumbar activations but the number of busted and broken runners I passed in the last 5k really made me realize how much stronger I've become. I've been that busted runner, it sucks. I'm recovering faster between workouts, and have had my longest injury free stretch since I began running 4yrs ago; despite running higher volumes than ever before.
I've just registered for the Mad Trapper 50k trail race in October.
